For those who were hoping it would be Michael, or another one of the Jackson 5 names, sadly, you’ll be disappointed.
The couple named their son, Eissa.
In Hebrew, Eissa means “salvation,” according to babynamespedia.com.
Eissa is also the name for Jesus in Arabic.
According to a source who spoke with People:
“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world. Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”
Janet’s eldest brother, Jermaine, also shared some insight on his baby sister’s pregnancy:
“She’ll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict.”
Wonder if Eissa will follow in the family footsteps…?
