An anti-Trump protester was shot in Portland early Saturday morning.
Protesters were rallying near downtown Portland at approximately 1 am when a gunman drove by and got into an altercation with a demonstrator. The suspect — described as an African-American male in his late teens, early 20’s — then got out of his car and opened fire.
The demonstrator, who has not been named, was rushed to the hospital and expected to survive.

The suspect had not yet been apprehended as of Saturday morning.
The protests in Portland have grown increasingly tense in the past three days, with police in riot gear and demonstrators facing off in the streets the night before the shooting.The unrest has caused an estimated $1 million in damages to local businesses so far. More protests are expected.
