Tea Party activist and conservative icon Sarah Palin has been a vocal supporter of President-elect Donald J. Trump and it seems her loyalty may pay off in a big way.

Previously, Palin was rumored to lead the Interior Department given her experience as Alaska’s governor. Palin’s son is a veteran who served in the Iraq War and she herself has been a strong supporter of our military.
Throughout his campaign, Donald Trump pledged to revamp America’s VA, calling the current treatment our veterans get a national disgrace. In addition to Palin, Fox News contributor and veteran Pete Hegseth, who met with Trump on Tuesday, is also rumored to be under consideration to run the VA.
Hegseth has been a harsh critic of the VA, suggesting that the agency be overhauled to put veterans first:
