Daily Mail reports:
For one Wisconsin man, 2017 promises to be a complete flop.
Just minutes into the new year, a 25-year-old man was caught on dashcam video belly-flopping onto a Menasha Police Department cruiser and cracking the windshield.
According to police, the suspect from the town if Kimberly had been drinking and fighting with people outside a party before he jumped onto another vehicle near Oak Street and Nicolet Boulevard at midnight
When officers responded to the scene searching for the inebriated reveler, the man charged at one of the squad cars and hurled himself at the vehicle.
A dashboard camera recorded the moment the man took a run at the stopped cruiser, smashed against the windshield belly-first, shattering it, then scrambled onto the roof.
Two officers were injured while trying to restrain the unruly suspect, according to police. One of the officers was treated and released from a hospital and the other refused medical attention.
The 25-year-old suspect was initially taken to a hospital for a checkup before being transferred to the Winnebago County Jail.
While at the hospital, the man allegedly stated that he had been drinking alcohol at the party and became upset with other guests, reported the station WBAY.
As of Tuesday morning, the suspect has not been named. The police department said in a Facebook post that he will be referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office on multiple charges.
The local law enforcement agency has shared the dashcam video on its social media page, where it has been viewed more than 172,000 times.
