Daily Mail reports:
A missing woman’s ex-boyfriend has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping in relation to her disappearance, after another woman he dated vanished a decade ago.
Typhenie Johnson, 25, was last seen on October 10 at the Post Oak East Apartments in northeast Fort Worth, Texas, police say.
Her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Steven Revill, 32, was the last person to see her, and police suspect foul play was involved in her disappearance, Fox4 News reported.
The woman’s sock, phone and car keys were found in the parking lot at the apartments, Fort Worth Police Officer Jimmy Polozani told the Star-Telegram.
Typhenie’s twin brother, Asher, and two other people were inside the apartment as his sister and Revill were outside talking before it escalated into an argument in the parking lot the night she disappeared.
‘It had kind of escalated from a regular conversation and making Chris leave here because he was gathering up his stuff,’ he told Fox4 News.
‘Chris had come back up, and I asked him where my sister went. And he said she jumped into another car.’
Asher said that it was out of his sister’s character to leave without telling him, so he went downstairs to check on her.
‘That’s when I had seen his car backed in right back here with the trunk open,’ he said.
Asher said Revill drove off in a white 2003 Ford.
Authorities say they found women’s clothing at Revill’s mother house, and Asher told police it was the tank top that his sister was wearing the night she disappeared.
Revill was arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of kidnapping due to the evidence and witness statements.
He is being held in jail on $50,000 bond, and police are still searching for Typhenie.
‘We have substantial information basically on the initial crime scene of the apartment complex that would lead us and the detectives to believe that he was the last person around her at the time of her disappearance,’ Pollozani said.
The woman’s family, friends and co-workers searched for her over the weekend, as they are hoping she will be found alive.
‘I can’t sleep in my own bed knowing the fact that my sister is outside somewhere sleeping,’ Asher said.
Their mother, Deborah Johnson Strub, also joined the search for her daughter over the weekend in the Fort Worth area, as they also held a prayer vigil for her.
‘We just want to bring her home,’ Deborah told NBC Dallas while sobbing. ‘Hopefully we find Typhenie and find her safe.’
Revill is a father to a son with ex-girlfriend, Taalibah Islam. She was last seen in January 2006, and he told police back then he was the last to see her alive.
Revill told authorities that she left his residence, leaving their son behind and got into a car with an unknown person and left.
He said he thought she would come back for their son, but she didn’t.
Pollozani would not comment on the disappearance of Islam, and instead said they are ‘focusing their attention on trying to locate’ Typhenie.
Revill has a criminal record, starting from being arrested in 2007.
According to Tarrant County court records, Revill was convicted of burglary of a habitation charge and sentenced to five years in prison.
He was released in July 2015 on parole. In addition, he as also convicted of aggravated robbery in 2008 in Dallas count.
Revill completed a five year sentence in that case and was released in March 2013.
