The recounts have made no difference in the outcome of the presidential election, Fox News reports. In Wisconsin, Jill Stein’s $3.5 million recount found Trump won by a larger margin than previously thought.
There’s still a push for recounts in Pennsylvania and Florida, with the former awaiting a judge’s approval and the latter not likely to happen.
“In any election, the actual change in the margin of votes is very, very low,” Drew Spencer Penrose, legal director at FairVote, said. “For people hoping for a change in results, I wouldn’t hold my breath.”
Trump won Wisconsin by 22,000 votes over Clinton. Clinton never visited the state. The recount in Wisconsin has added 146 votes to Trump’s lead.
Stein says she was never trying to help Clinton, but instead figure out how accurate the election was, and if votes were being hacked.
“We’re not finding any problems with the machines,” Reid Magney, a spokesperson for the Wisconsin Elections Commission, said. “The Stein campaign wanted a recount because they thought there was some problems with our machines and that was not the case.”
“The overall results will not change,” Magney said. “It’s two votes here, two votes there.”
