Kellogg’s has announced that it will not advertise on Breitbart because the conservative site’s values “aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” according to a statement by a spokeswoman for the company.
Fox News reported:
Kellogg’s has announced that it will no longer advertise on Breitbart.com, the website formerly run by one of President-elect Donald Trump’s top aides, Steve Bannon.
The food manufacturer decided to discontinue advertising on the site as soon as it was alerted by consumers to the presence of its ads, Kellogg’s spokeswoman Kris Charles said Tuesday.
“We regularly work with our media buying partners to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” Charles said. “This involves reviewing websites where ads could potentially be placed using filtering technology to assess site content. As you can imagine, there is a very large volume of websites, so occasionally something is inadvertently missed.”
Fox News continued:
Breitbart has become the target of a social media effort to call out companies and organizations that advertise on it.
Pharmaceutical maker Novo Nordisk, online glasses retailer Warby Parker and the San Diego Zoo are among those that have publicly stated on Twitter that they will no longer advertise on the site.
A Breitbart spokeswoman didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
As you all probably know by now, Steve Bannon served as the executive chair of Breitbart before joining the Trump campaign as CEO and now as Trump’s chief strategist.
Even before Trump won the election, the Left began to attack Breitbart, the “alt-right,” and Bannon. After Trump’s win, the attacks went into overdrive as the liberal mainstream media has been roundly discredited and the Left’s lies and failed agenda have been repudiated.
Instead of taking inventory of their failures, the Left, as usual, has decided to attack their opponents with lies and smears. Kellogg’s has apparently decided to jump on that bandwagon.
Breitbart and conservative new media have been attacked because of the massive influence they had on the election and continue to have on the media landscape.
Because of the increasing influence of conservative new media, the dying mainstream media, corporate Leftists, and other liberals have decided to hit back with their typical lies.
Apparently the truth doesn’t align with Kellogg’s values. The Left has used identity-politics based-smears against conservative new media because that’s what they do. Leftists make their opponents the boogeyman so that people don’t focus on the fact that they are what they accuse their opponents of being — in addition to peddling a dangerous and destructive, anti-American agenda.
Well, if Kellogg’s doesn’t think that Breitbart aligns with their “values,” perhaps millions of conservative Americans will find that Kellogg’s doesn’t align with theirs — or their wallets.
