Daily News reports:
An Ohio man admitted in court to pulling a 6-year-old girl from her bedroom window and raping her in the backyard of her family home.
Brock D. Martin, 26, pleaded guilty to six felony charges — including counts of rape, kidnapping and aggravated burglary, according to the Mansfield News Journal.
Prosecutor Christopher Tunnell claimed that on Aug. 18 of last year, Martin pushed a fan out of an Ashland home to get ahold of the 6-year-old victim.
Police discovered Martin in the nearby woods after a neighbor came and stopped the heinous assault, according to Tunnell.
Martin initially pleaded guilty by reason of insanity, court records show, but the presiding judge determined he was competent to stand trial.
In return for the guilty plea, prosecutors retracted five other charges, including aggravated burglary, two counts of rape, attempted kidnapping, and a fifth-degree charge of drug possession.
Martin admitted to breaking into two other homes in court — including one that was sex-related, according to the Mansfield News Journal.
His sentencing is scheduled for December.
