The Hill reports:
Polling expert Sam Wang kept his promise to eat a bug if Donald Trumpwas elected president.
The founder of the Princeton Election Consortium ate crickets — with honey — live on CNN on Saturday morning.
Wang called the election for Hillary Clinton on Oct. 18, tweeting that “If Trump wins more than 240 electoral votes, I will eat a bug.”
It is totally over. If Trump wins more than 240 electoral votes, I will eat a bug. https://t.co/3eefhWzI3y

President-elect Trump got 290 electoral votes.
During an interview with CNN’s Michael Smerconish, the host asked Wang, “what about the bug?”
The pollster held up a can of “gourmet-style” crickets — “gourmet from the point of view of a pet, I should say.”
“A lot of people were wrong, but nobody else made the promise I did,” Wang said.
In the days before the election, Wang put Clinton’s chances of winning at 99 percent.
Wang noted that the stunt was “sensationalist and it keeps us off of important policy issues such as Supreme Court appointments.”
He suggested Trump could “make a grand gesture like say ‘you know what, I am representing all the people. I am going to show everyone who I am and what I’m made of and I’m going to name Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.’ “
