Daily News reports:
A Kansas City couple watched helplessly through a phone app as two thieves ransacked their home Saturday morning.
“It’s terrifying. Your heart sinks,” local firefighter and homeowner Ryan Koehler told Fox 4.
Koehler and his wife, Kelsey, were away from home when the break-in happened, but were able to tune into the footage quickly after receiving a text alert saying there was unusual movement inside their living room.
In the video, two unidentified men were shown ringing the doorbell to check if anyone was inside the house, then break down the door in broad daylight — as the family dog watches.
“I was like, ‘Oh, it’s just the dog walking around.’ That’s when I saw them kick in the door. I literally just started shaking,” Kelsey told the news station while watching the footage.
One suspect was shown walking through the family’s home into the bedroom when the other enters and the pair go on to remove the TV from the wall.
Both suspects were wearing black hoodies and jeans.
Police believe the two men may be responsible for other robberies reported in the neighborhood and are investigating further.
