A group of high school students in a walkout protest where students were carrying signs that said “Love Trumps Hate” beat up a 15-year-old for wearing a hat saying “Make America Great Again.”
No, they did not see the irony, but at least one of the culprits will have plenty of juvenile court dates to contemplate the paradox.
According to WTOP-TV, the incident happened Wednesday in Rockville, Maryland, where students at Richard Montgomery High School were staging a walkout against President-elect Donald Trump.
Four students, apparently unaware of what the signs saying “Love Trumps Hate” actually mean, began attacking the 15-year-old when they saw his attire.
The “group surrounded the teen, punching him repeatedly, then threw him to the ground and kicked him repeatedly in the ribs,” WTOP reported.
“They jumped him and beat him up pretty bad,” Max Stucky, a bystander, said.
For people who are upset, these kids certainly look happy:

Maj. Michael English of the Rockville Police Department indicated that the beaten teen hadn’t been the aggressor. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
One alleged attacker, a 17-year-old, was identified and charged with second degree assault. He’s currently not in police custody. No word yet on the other three.
While this is a very literal case of liberal bullying, it also points out that these walkouts are also a form of ideological bullying. It’s unlikely a group of Trump supporters who walked out of school if he lost would have been given administration approval or positive media coverage. Thus what the media, school authorities and liberal students are telegraphing is that certain people with certain ideas aren’t welcome and will be punished — the very definition of bullying.
I’m certain many of the students who were involved in the walkout were surprised that it ended so violently. They shouldn’t have been. The four attackers were just doing what plenty of other anti-Trump activists across the nation have been doing since the advent of his campaign. Violence and bullying against Trump supporters have been a hallmark of the left, and it’s certainly not going to stop now that he’s the president-elect.
Some “tolerance,” indeed.
