A Texas judge told a group of new Americans that if they don’t like Trump, then they can leave.
“I can assure you that whether you voted for him or you did not vote for him, if you are a citizen of the United States, he is your President,” Judge John Primomo told the about-to-be-minted citizens during a swearing in ceremony in San Antonio on Thursday.
He added: “He will be your President, and if you do not like that, you need to go to another country.”
Not stopping there, Primomo lectured the new Americans not to follow the example of Colin Kaepernick either.
“I detest that because you can protest things that happen in this country; you have every right to,” Primomo continued on. “You don’t do that by offending national symbols like the national anthem and the flag of the United States.”
The Texas judge later told local KENS 5 he meant the speech to be unifying and he did not actually vote for Donald Trump.
