Huma Abedin’s email (and the fact that it was found on the computer of her grubby estranged husband, serial pervert Anthony Weiner) may be what’s grabbing all the headlines when it comes to Hillary Clinton’s most trusted aide. However, a forthcoming documentary that includes information about Abedin’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, Saudi Arabia and Al Qaeda may be even more dangerous to one of the left’s most prominent officials.
“The Enemies Within,” a documentary by New Zealand filmmaker Trevor Loudon, aims to expose government officials with ties to Muslim extremists, WND reported.
In one interview, a former former CIA operations officer described how Abedin was put in charge of editing a journal founded by the Saudi government and with Al Qaeda ties.
The Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs, or IMMA, was run by Abedin’s father, Syed Zainul Abedin. Huma Abedin served as the journal’s assistant editor, working alongside her mother and father … and a man named Abdullah Omar Naseef.
Naseef was the founder of the Rabita Trust. I don’t expect you’ve heard of Naseef or his organization, but you’ll probably recognize the name of the man Naseef set up the trust to fund: Osama bin Laden.
Former CIA operations officer Clare Lopez, now the vice president for research and analysis at the Center for Security Policy, noted that Abedin was working with Naseef while she was interning at the White House.
She then became Hillary Clinton’s personal aide, then an adviser on her senatorial campaigns, and then chief of staff at the State Department.
“Now, this was a period of time when we might recall that U.S. foreign policy flipped on its head, from going after jihad and jihadist like Al Qaeda to, in Libya, for example, aiding and abetting known Al Qaeda jihadist militias to overthrow a sitting, sovereign government led by Moammar Gadhafi, no choir boy, to be sure, but our ally at the time,” Lopez noted in the documentary.
“All of this happened during the period of time when Clinton was secretary of state and Huma Abedin was at her side, whispering in her ear.”
Lopez wasn’t the only one sounding the alarm over Abedin’s connections. Mike Waller, a government security intelligence contractor, said that nobody “ties with groups that seek to over throw the Constitution of the United States,” like Abedin, “should ever have any government post in the United States.”
And that’s not even the only very dodgy group Abedin has ties to. We’ve already catalogued her ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, including her time as an executive board member of the Brotherhood-associated Muslim Students’ Association.
And who knows what role Abedin would play in a Clinton White House? That’s why, while her emails may be big news, this documentary is a lot bigger.
