It looks like Americans are starting to grow tired of the constant barrage of Hollywood actors and comedians accusing conservatives of being racists and bigots.
It didn’t quite work out that way, however, as Sykes was booed relentlessly, eventually leading to her walking off stage and flipping off the crowd behind her.
Via the Boston Globe:
But when comedian Wanda Sykes later joked “we elected an orangutan to run the country,” she got a very different response, he said.
“She started to get some boos,” Hamblen said during an interview on Sunday.
And things just got uglier.
Sykes ranted about Trump and his comments about gays, minorities and women, drawing more boos from the audience, according to the video.
“This is not the first time we’ve elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president,” Sykes says in the clip.
Sykes responded to the boos by uttering an expletive and making an obscene gesture toward the crowd, according to the video.

The sad part is that Sykes chose a charity benefit as the venue in which to spew hatred towards Trump and his supporters. She was performing at the Comics Come Home benefit show at the TD Garden which supports The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care.
Comedian Dennis Leary tried to calm things down after she walked off stage by speaking to the crowd, saying Sykes had traveled all the way from Los Angeles for the benefit and deserved their respect.
Excuse me, Mr. Leary, but she just labeled at least half of the audience who supported Trump as racists and homophobes. Maybe those people deserve a little respect themselves, no?
