Kansas City, MO – Vietnam War veteran Mark, and his wife Cheryl, were arrested at gun point Febuary 27th as reported by Fox4KC. Two men came to their door and told the couple about their lost dog and if the couple could help.
They agreed to help and let the men enter the home. This would take a turn for trouble as the two men pulled out guns shortly after entering the home.
The two men would then proceed to throw Cheryl on the ground. One of the men held her in a choke hold and shouted “We’re going to kill her” to Mark.
It is being reported by the Independent Journal Review that the couple were likely targeted due to Mark being a veteran, and like many prideful veterans, wore his Marine cap regularly and hung an American flag on his porch.
This was the scariest time since Vietnam
Dominick Sanders, 19, was soon arrested after the incident. The local police had been searching for him for months as he was racking up quite the crime resume.
Fox4kc reports:
The arrest was a relief to Mark and Cheryl, but the targeted crime has left them feeling on edge.
“It really is angering to think that somebody’s risked their life,” Cheryl said of Mark’s service overseas, “and was over there for over a year, and now somebody comes in their house and tries to kill him? I don`t understand that.”
Police have yet to arrest the second suspect. But police have been looking for Sanders for months.
