Former White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, who served under former President Barack Obama, was unable to answer a simple question about President Trump and his claims that Obama wiretapped him.
Earnest spoke with ABC’s Martha Raddatz and said that Trump’s claims were false.
When asked to “categorically deny” that the Obama Justice Department “monitored” Trump Tower during the election, Earnest refused to do so.
“Here’s the simple answer to that question, Martha,” Earnest said. “I don’t know, and it’s not because I’m no longer in government.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
In other words, when Earnest first claimed that the Obama White House did not order the wiretap, he was only saying that to protect his former boss — not because he knew for sure that what he was saying was true.
That, plus the fact that he continually dodged questions about the situation was further evidence that an investigation into the situation has become imperative.
The fact that he refused to answer a question that should have been so easy to answer if it’s false indicates that Obama is hiding something.
