A Russian crane operator accidentally accidentally decapitated a state of Vladimir Lenin, the original godfather of communism in Russia, as he was trying to move it.
It is estimated that the Soviet Union created over 14,000 statues of Lenin, who brought communism to Russia, and established what would become the Soviet Union until its collapse in 1991.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, several Lenin statues have been vandalized as many Russians are left with sour memories of the bloc and the various countries it conquered and subjugated throughout its brutal history.
In a video from January 2016, a Ukrainian crane operator was trying to move one of those statues when the head of it came off.
While some called it an accident, others were quick to call it “divine judgment” towards an individual whose actions led to the deaths of tens of millions of innocent people.
Regardless, the video is pretty hilarious and must have left the crane operator scratching his head as he tried to figure out how he would explain that to his boss.
