The mainstream media are at it again. The New York Daily News wanted to embarrass U.S. President Donald Trump again. The only problem is that they got their facts wrong.
They recently reported that Trump, who regularly chided his predecessor Barack Obama for spending too much time on the golf course, is actually golfing again, his ninth time in his seven-week tenure as president.
They showed a photo of Trump at Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Va., along with a few members of his cabinet. They also cited a Politico report saying that he is the fastest to hit the course among recent U.S. presidents, compared to Obama who waited four months before hitting the fairways.
However, the White House will not take this one sitting down.
The Gateway Pundit reports:
In a tweet White House Director of Social Media Dan Scavino Jr. responded to the New York Daily News noting that their tweet was in error. Scavino pointed out that the President appeared to be at a golf course but for a lunch meeting.
@TerenceReports @NYDailyNews your headline & story is false. You should correct. Facts: https://t.co/mIBlU9I8z2 https://t.co/gSdfK9NQBe

It is not certain if the New York Daily News was deliberately misleading their readers or it was a case of poor journalism.
