America’s food supply is at risk as farm owners and ranchers in Texas say they’re under attack from Mexican drug cartels responsible for the chaos and thousands of murders in Mexico.
In an interview with FOX News, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples said: “It’s a war, make no mistake about it.” “And it’s happening on American soil.”
Staples is concerned that the dangerous situation that the men and women working in the farms and ranches are facing could eventually impact our food supply.
With Texas farmers and ranchers producing more cotton and more cattle than anywhere else in the United States, Staples was quick to say that the war is a threat to our national security.
100% Fed Up reports:
“Farmers and ranchers are being run off their own property by armed terrorists showing up and telling them they have to leave their land,” Staples said.
In an effort to raise awareness, Commissioner Staples created the website ProtectYourTexasBorder.com, where frustrated and scared farmers can share their experience.
