Rachel Maddow’s live TV antics of releasing President Trump’s 2005 tax return 1040 form did not only failed to get the intended effect but could also land the liberal host in jail, according to The Gateway Pundit.
After putting her viewers in suspense, all she really showed was how much President Trump paid in taxes – in the millions, as expected. She also did not do much favor for her leftist friends either when she showed that Trump paid a higher tax rate than Bernie Sanders or even former president Barack Obama.
The Hill, which is not exactly a fan of President Trump, reminded Ms. Maddow that it is illegal to disclose a taxpayer’s information without his or her consent.
Under the law, unauthorized release or publishing of federal tax returns is a criminal offense and punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 and up to five years in jail, according to Syracuse.com.
