A Pennsylvania man who supports President Donald Trump is filing a lawsuit against a bar in New York after being denied service for wearing Trump’s signature Make America Great Again hat, the Gateway Pundit reports.
The 30-year-old Greg Piatek, an accountant from Philadelphia, was with his other two friends in New York on Jan. 28 to visit the 9/11 Memorial then went to The Happiest Hour on West 10th Street, according to a New York Post report.
At around 6:30 p.m., they ordered drinks at the posh tavern and were served by a female bartender. But when Piatek tried to order a second round, a male bartender skipped them after he noticed his conservative fashion statement.
In the lawsuit, one of Piatek’s friends claimed the bartender scoffed at Piatek saying, “Is that hat a joke?”
Piatek claims he was shown the door by the manager after being told, “you need to leave right now because we won’t serve you!”
