President Donald Trump calls out the conservative House Freedom Caucus in a tweet Thursday morning saying they are hurting the entire Republican agenda, adding that they either get on the team or be prepared to be challenged in the 2018 midterms, according to a report by the Gateway Pundit.
Going public with his frustration following the failure of the GOP to repeal Obamacare last week amid feuding factions within the Republican party, Trump targeted conservative House members by urging his supporters to fight the House Freedom Caucus and the Democrats in next year’s elections.
Trump said in a tweet, “The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!”
Thursday’s blunt warning came after Trump’s tweet on Monday attacking the Freedom Caucus, saying the group “was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. After so many bad years they were ready for a win!”
