Judge Andrew Napolitano weighed in on the issue of whether Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice’s unmasking of American citizens in President Donald Trump’s team is legal or not. His response is that she may have committed espionage, The Gateway Pundit said.
When asked whether Rice had broken any laws, Judge Napolitano told the panel on “Fox & Friends” that it depends on what she did with the information she unmasked.
“She is entitled to this, because she, as the president’s national security adviser had the highest level of national security clearance,” Fox News’ senior judicial analyst said.
However, Napolitano emphasized that if she unmasked for other reasons such as politics, embarrassment, curiosity and vengeance, then her action was profoundly illegal.
“Can she reveal the identity of the American for a purpose other than national security? Absolutely not,” Napolitano said. “You know what that’s called? That’s called espionage.”
