CNN’s Brooke Baldwin featured a survivor of Syria’s gas attack in 2013 trying to build an anti-Trump narrative during the interview, but the guest ended thanking the U.S. president instead, 100% Fed Up said.
Baldwin’s guest, Kassem Eid, survived the 2013 attack by Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad where more than 1,400 people died. In a previous interview earlier this week, Baldwin allowed Eid to narrate his harrowing experience to give the audience a perspective of the horrors of Tuesday’s latest chemical weapons attack by the regime against his own people.
Baldwin decided to bring back in Eid in the aftermath of U.S. military airstrikes against Syria, expecting that he will help drive the point home that Trump is a hypocrite by attacking the Syrian army, but unwilling to accept Syrian refugees into the country.
However, Eid’s response wasn’t exactly what they expected when he expressed his gratitude to President Trump for ordering the missile strike on the Syrian airbase.
