Muslim imams have been preaching hatred and violence against Christians over public loudspeakers for many years, according to Coptic Christians in Egypt who were recently targeted in a wave of terror attacks, according to the Gateway Pundit.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the murder of 45 people in two separate attacks on Coptic Churches in Alexandria and Tanta last week during the Christian celebration of Palm Sunday.
In an interview with AFP Wednesday, souvenir shop owner Michel Fahmy, 50, said that local imams would speak over loudspeakers “invoking God’s wrath on Christians” in their sermons from mosques.
“They incite to violence, youths are being filled with hatred against us and acting on it,” the Cairo resident continued.
Lillian Anis, a Copt employed in a clothing store, observed that Muslims and Christians attend separate religious classes, and Copts are generally being looked down upon. “The problem starts at school where children are treated differently,” according to Anis.
