Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton snooped on her own staff by downloading the emails they sent and received following her loss to Barack Obama in 2008 as part of her loyalty check, according to a new book about her failed bid for the White House, according to the Gateway Pundit.
To see if who had been disloyal and who had been leaking information to be used against her, Hillary instructed a trusted aide to download the emails from her campaign server.
After reading through their emails, she held meetings with the staffers to discuss what had gone wrong. Her aides were not aware she had been reading their communications.
One anonymous aide was surprised with Clinton’s knowledge of what was happening in her campaign.
“She believed her campaign had failed her — not the other way around — and she wanted ‘to see who was talking to who, who was leaking to who,” the book said citing a source familiar with the matter.
Clinton will be haunted by an email scandal of her own in her latest bid for the presidency following an FBI investigation into her use of private email server during her time as Secretary of State.
