President Donald Trump said in an interview on Wednesday that he considered proposals to break up the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals after a federal district court judge recently blocked his order to defund “sanctuary cities.”
When asked by the Washington Examiner if he had considered breaking up 9th Circuit, whose judges have blocked two of his executive actions, Trump said, “Absolutely, I have.”
“There are many people that want to break up the 9th Circuit. It’s outrageous,” Trump continued.
The president criticized the heavily liberal court that blocked his order for a temporary travel ban for six predominantly Muslim countries.
Although Judge William Orrick, who blocked the implementation of his executive order to withhold funding from “sanctuary cities,” did not come from the 9th Circuit, Trump suggested that the injunction will be upheld if the Department of Justice appeals that ruling.
Trump said those who oppose him “immediately run” to the 9th Circuit because their rulings are “semi-automatic.”
The Gateway Pundit reports:
Trump went after the 9th Circuit for blocking his travel ban executive order, which was in the nation’s best interest. Liberals love violent Muslims.
The President went on to say that “many people” are in favor of, and would support, the breaking up of the “outrageous” bench. Trump’s jealous political enemies run to 9th Circuit in what the President called “semi-automatic” fashion whenever they want to shut down one of his rulings.
