President Donald Trump on Wednesday launched a new hotline to assist victims of crimes committed by “criminal aliens,” but pranksters used the line to report alien sightings and UFOs on its first day.
The Trump administration launched the controversial Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office (VOICE) hotline on Wednesday as part of the White House’s efforts to crack down on illegal immigration.
The office, which was created by an executive order on immigration January, aims to help families who have been victims of “crimes committed by criminal aliens,” the Department of Homeland Security said.

The hotline was coincidentally launched on Alien Day, which is an annual promotional day for sci-film Alien starring Sigourney Weaver.
An ICE official said, “Their actions seek to obstruct and do harm to crime victims; that’s objectively despicable regardless of one’s views on immigration policy.”
