Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer said Sunday that President Trump is not working with the Democrats in Congress to achieve his legislative agenda and added that his first 100 days have “hardly been a success.”
In an interview with “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace, the Democratic New York senator said, “If he changes, then we could work together. But he can’t just dictate what he wants.”
During President Trump’s rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Saturday, he took shots at Schumer.
In front of a cheering crowd, Trump said, “Schumer is weak on crime and wants to raise your taxes through the roof.” “He is a poor leader, known him a long time, and he’s leading the Democrats to doom,” the president continued.
In response to Trump’s comments, Schumer told Wallace that “name-calling doesn’t work” and the president should focus on pressing issues.
He also blasted Trump’s far-right policies pointing to his tax reform bill and efforts to repeal Obamacare. “That’s not how America works,” Schumer said.
100% Fed Up reports:
Have you ever heard anything more hypocritical in your life? The Democrats rammed just about everything they could down our throats. They are NOT going to EVER work with Republicans because they are no longer even close to coming to the middle. The radicals have hijacked the party…Where has Schumer been?
Oh yeah, he’s been dining at top New York restaurants rubbing elbows with the very people he tries to demonize as those “bad” wealthy people. He’s talking out of both sides of his mouth but who is surprised by that?
