A female FBI interpreter assigned to investigate a key ISIS operative falls in love with the man instead and even traveled to Syria to marry him.
Daniela Greene, 38, was married at the time when she went to war-torn Syria to be with a German-born jihadist. She also lied to federal agents about her whereabouts.
The rogue employee joined the agency in 2011 and had top security clearance when she assigned at its Detroit bureau where she was tasked to investigate Denis Cuspert.
Cuspert, a former German rapper under the name Deso Dogg, used music videos to recruit people to join the terror group.
Greene and Cuspert reportedly married in Syria in June 2014. But within weeks after marrying him, Greene realised her mistake and fled back to the U.S.
She pleaded guilty to making false statements involving international terrorism and agreed to cooperate with authorities, according to CNN. Greene was released in August last year.
The Gateway Pundit reports:
Cuspert has been featured in various Islamic State videos in both Iraq and Syria wherein he is holding up severed human heads. Greene quickly realized that she had screwed the pooch weeks after marrying Cuspert and so she ran back to the U.S.
