Fox News star Sean Hannity is “not negotiating” his way out of his Fox News contract following the resignation of co-president Bill Shine, contrary to earlier reports, the Gateway Pundit reports.
Hannity took to Twitter to confirm this saying, “If I have anything to say about @FoxNews I will say it tonight at 10 est. All I’ll say now is this is true,” referring to an article by Independent Journal Review where it was first reported.
Story broke out on Tuesday that Hannity is possibly leaving Fox because his contract allows him to quit his show if Shine ever left Fox.
Following the ouster of Bill O’Reilly due to alleged sex scandals, Shine had been a target by women in the network who are calling for his resignation, according to the New York Times.
He has been accused in the past of helping cover up for former president Roger Ailes over allegations of sexual harassment raised by female employees.
The New York Times also said that Shine was losing support from the right-wing network’s owners James and Lachlan Murdoch. Shine resigned on Monday.
