Comedian Stephen Colbert is facing backlash as critics accuse him of homophobia after making a joke about President Donald Trump on Monday’s episode of the “The Late Show.”
Critics quickly condemned Colbert’s comments about Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin where he said, “You talk like a sign language gorilla who got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c**k holster.”
Colbert made the comments at the end of his opening monologue about the Trump that lasted 12 minutes.
The episode, filmed at the end of Trump’s 100 days in office, saw Colbert making a lengthy attack against the president whom he called a “pricktator” and someone who attracts “more skinheads than free Rogaine.”
Colbert went off on Trump over how his interview with CBS News’ John Dickerson went that was abruptly ended by the president when the journalist pressed him about Barack Obama’s spying scandal.
Both Dickerson and Colbert are employees of CBS.
100% Fed Up reports:
This late night host is one angry dude! He does everything he can to try and rip on President Trump but it comes off as cold and just mean spirited.
The disgusting rant at the end of his monologue has backfired on him….his homophobic slur was in poor taste and very offensive to just about everyone within earshot. You can even tell the audience was shocked when he said it. If this was said about anyone else, Colbert would be in hot water but this is against Trump so it’s ok. Isn’t that pitiful…How low can Colbert go? Not much lower…
