Conservative radio talk host Glenn Beck said in his radio show Friday that he would like to see former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly become a member of his media outlet The Blaze, The Daily Caller reports.
During the show, Beck received a call from a guest who said he was more “welcoming” in his interview with Bill O’Reilly than NBC’s Lester Holt was with President Donald Trump.
Another guest phoned in and said that he would love Beck to get O’Reilly to join The Blaze.
Beck replied, “So would I.”
But The Blaze co-founder admitted that he couldn’t afford to pay O’Reilly anything close what he’s making at Fox News. “I’ll pay him in sandwiches,” he jokingly said.
O’Reilly reportedly earned $25 million a year at Fox. Meanwhile, The Blaze was saddled with financial troubles in the past that forced them to lay off around 40 employees in 2016.
