President Donald Trump, in his first commencement speech as president, encouraged graduates of Liberty University to be courageous as they try to challenge the establishment, the Gateway Pundit reports.
Speaking before the members of Liberty University’s Class of 2017 and their families in Lynchburg, Virginia, the president thanked the crowd for helping him win the presidency.
Liberty is a Christian university and run by university president Jerry Falwell Jr, who endorsed Trump’s presidential bid last year.
Trump made three previous visits to the school including his January 2016 appearance when he received the support of evangelical Christians.
Trump’s nearly 30-minute speech also touched on his commitment to religious freedom and the role of faith in the country.
“As long as I am your president, no one is ever going to stop you from practicing your faith or from preaching what is in your heart,” Trump said.
