If President Donald Trump will have his way, the daily press briefings at the White House will become a thing of the past as he thinks ending it is a “good idea,” 100% Fed Up reports.
During an interview with Fox News’ “Justice” host Jeanine Pirro, Trump doubled down on this threat which he wrote about in an earlier tweet.
He tweeted, “As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy! Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future “press briefings” and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy?”
The president said the level of hostility from reporters towards press secretary Sean Spicer and deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been “incredible.”
Trump also agreed with Pirro’s assessment that his communications staff can’t keep up because he moves so quickly.
When asked by Pirro if Spicer will remain as his press secretary, he did not directly answer the question.
“He’s doing a good job, but he gets beat up,” the president said.
