President Donald Trump was defiant in his commencement address to graduates of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Wednesday, telling them to ignore critics and continue to fight for what is right, even as he tries to carry on despite heavy criticism coming from the media.
In his speech to the graduating class of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, Trump said, “Look at the way I’ve been treated lately, especially by the media. No politician in history has been treated worse or more unfairly.”
Trump also thanked the class for their service, and encouraged them to never back down in the face of adversity.
“Nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever comes easy—the more righteous your fight, the more opposition you’ll face,” the president said.
His remarks come after The New York Times reported that a memo from former FBI Director James Comey said that Trump asked him in February to drop the investigation into former national security adviser Mike Flynn’s ties with Russia.
During his speech, Trump also praised the work of the Coast Guard in pursuing terrorists and smugglers, rescuing people and securing waterways.

The Coast Guard Academy was the location for the speech but the speech could be directed at all Aemricans plus the media and critics of Trump. He says what everyone else is thinking…Awesome!
