Democratic Party politicians on Thursday joined a protest outside of the Federal Communications Commission organized by groups with links to the antifa movement who calling to ban conservative news websites.
California Rep. Barbara Lee urged the crowd of demonstrators to “stay woke” in fighting the proposed plans by FCC chairman Ajit Pai to roll back net neutrality rules established during the Obama administration.
In addition to Lee, three other Democrats, Senators Ron Wyden and Ed Markey, and Rep. Jared Polis, joined the protesters, who have targeted the FCC chairman and have held protests in his neighborhood, according to a report by Politico Pro.
The Politico report, however, did not mention that the protesters have identified themselves as part of the antifa movement.
The mask-wearing antifascists were seen holding signs to ban conservative news websites such as Breitbart and The Drudge Report.
On Thursday, the FCC voted 2-1 to start the process of reversing Obama-era net neutrality rules.

This is truly where we’re heading with freedom of speech in America and it’s scary. There are people on the left who want to silence conservatives. The only speech allowed is the speech from the left. Sounds very 1930’s Germany to us. The left wants you to march in lock-step to what they say or they’ll beat the h*ll out of you. Just try and wear a “Make America Great Again” hat to a rally and see what the lefties do to you. This is disturbing but what’s even more disturbing is that we have lawmakers who are going overboard in their rhetoric…Barbara Lee is a great example of this:
