Fox News announced on Friday that it had fired “The Five” co-host Bob Beckel for making a racist remark to a black IT coworker, 100% Fed Up reports.
In a statement, Fox News said “Bob Beckel was terminated today for making an insensitive remark to an African-American employee.”
Attorney Douglas Wigdor, the legal counsel of the IT employee and about two dozen others who have sued Fox News for racial discrimination, said Beckel couldn’t handle having a black man service his computer.
In a statement, Wigdor said that Beckel stormed out of his office after seeing a black IT employee was going to fix his computer, then telling the employee that he was leaving his office because of the color of his skin.
This was the second time Beckel has been fired by Fox.
Beckel was removed in June 2015 but was rehired by Fox in January after a working briefly at CNN.
