A former University of Connecticut student has been arrested and charged with 103 counts of vandalism on the UConn campus, many of them directed against President Donald Trump.
Eric Cruz-Lopez, a resident of Storrs and Bridgeport, was charged with criminal mischief following a three-month investigation by authorities into incidents of vandalism in the Homer Babbage Library and other areas within campus between December 2016 and March 2017.
The 21-year-old Cruz-Lopez was a student at Uconn, but was not enrolled at the school by the time he was arrested on May 7th.
University officials say almost $4,255 was spent to fix the property damaged by Cruz-Lopez’s actions.
His graffiti usually said “PEST,” “F*** Trump” or a cartoon face with those same words in a bubble.
He described himself as an illegal immigrant, according to a report by The Daily Mail. In his statement to the police, he admitted, “I did the graffiti.”
The Gateway Pundit reports:
An illegal immigrant and former student at the University of Connecticut is under arrest after vandalizing numerous buildings around the campus with anti-Trump messages.
Illegal Eric Cruz López was a student protester and even protested outside the Obama White House in Washington DC in February 2016.
Lopez was spotted in February leaving the areas where the vandalism occurred on various occasions.
The damage in total added up to about $4,200.
