The family of Osama Bin Laden has revealed for the first time details of the events that led to the death of the 9/11 mastermind in the hands of the heroic U.S. Navy SEALS.
Amal bin Laden, the youngest wife of America’s longtime most wanted man, has recounted that she and her six children lived with Bin Laden in a safe house in the mountains of Abbottabad in Pakistan when her husband was killed.
On May 11, 2011, U.S. special forces stormed the building while the family was asleep. The family heard a loud screeching noise while the house rocked.
A frightened Bin Laden sat up and said “Americans are coming.”
Amal said it was difficult to see because it was a moonless night. She added that the streets were dark that night because of an electricity shortage.
Still in his pajamas, Bin Laden — the man who directed the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001 — called on his 13-year-old son to defend him, which he obliged by grabbing an AK-47. Amal knew the boy hadn’t fired a gun his entire life.
She said Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill shot and killed Bin Laden before she could rush to help her husband because she was also shot in the leg as more soldiers entered the building.
Amal bin Laden told her story to authors Cathy Scott-Clarke and Adrian Levy for their book The Exile: The Flight of Osama bin Laden.

The best part of this story is knowing the fear and terror that this evil man felt in the moments leading up to his death by an American hero…
