A middle school in Georgia is facing scrutiny after a teacher and a teaching assistant got into a brawl inside a classroom that was caught on video, 100% Fed Up reports.
A fight broke out between Brittany Randolph-Johnson, 27, and Milan Etheridge, 27, on May 19 at Stone Mountain Middle School in Atlanta.
A video recorded by a student shows the two women pulling each other’s hair and punching each other. In the back background, students were heard screaming for the two to stop.
After the incident, officials came to the classroom and forced students to delete any evidence of the brawl on their mobile phones, according to CBS affiliate WGCL-TV.
But the student who recorded the video managed to post the 24-second clip on social media that has since gone viral.
Both were each charged with one count of disrupting public school and affray. DeKalb County School District officials said on Wednesday that the two women will be removed from their jobs.
