Game-show champion Ken Jennings made fun of Barron Trump Wednesday over his reaction to comedian Kathy Griffin’s photo holding a fake bloodied head of his father President Donald Trump.
Jennings, who holds the record as the longest-running contestant of the game show “Jeopardy,” took to Twitter to comment on reports that 11-year-old Barron thought it was actually his father’s head when he first saw the photo.
He tweeted: “Barron Trump saw a very long necktie on a heap of expired deli meat in a dumpster. He thought it was his dad & his little heart is breaking.”
Despite strong criticism on social media, Jennings went to defend his tweet. He said, “The joke doesn’t mock Barron. It mocks using him for political cover.”
Jennings has mocked conservatives in the past through his tweets, including a joke about Condoleezza Rice’s sexual orientation.
Griffin has apologized for the photo after a widespread bi-partisan condemnation.
The Gateway Pundit reports:
Ken Jennings is a New York Time’s best selling author for children’s books and ‘Jeopardy!’ champion. He took to his Twitter account to attack 11-year old Barron Trump following the gruesome photo shoot Kathy Griffin did holding up President Trump’s severed head.
Jennings penned a series published by Simon & Schuster called ‘Junior Genius Guides‘. Does Simon & Schuster support one of their children’s books authors attacking a child?
