NBC News anchor Megyn Kelly chatted with Russian president Vladimir Putin ahead of their sit-down interview on Friday but it was her off-the-shoulder blue velvet dress featuring a slit in the skirt that received a lot of attention.
Pictures from the chat, which also included India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, showed they were having dinner at the Konstantin Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Kelly shared a photo of the trio on Twitter where she said: “At state dinner party at Konstantin Palace in St. Petersburg with Russian President Putin and Indian PM Modi. More tonight @NBCNightlyNews.”
The dress worn by the 46-year-old Kelly is made by designer Yigal Azrouel and costs $990.
The choice of attire by the former Fox News anchor is already receiving criticism on social media with some saying it was inappropriate for the occasion.
Although the Putin interview will not air until Sunday, June 4, the photos were posted in advance of the actual interview, which was scheduled on Friday, June 2.
The Gateway Pundit reports:
NBC News starlet Megyn Kelly dressed like a hooker for her interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin that is scheduled to air on Sunday. A publicity photo shows Kelly interviewing Putin while wearing a low-cut, off the shoulder blue velvet dress that is slit to mid-thigh, accented by black open-toe shoes with stiletto heels.
