Former Vice President Al Gore said in a recent interview that God commands us to take responsibility in fighting global warming, the Gateway Pundit reports.
Gore made the remarks during an interview with Interview Magazine for his upcoming film “An Inconvenient Sequel,” which will be shown on theaters in July.
“God intends for us to take responsibility for how we treat God’s creation,” he said.
The former Democratic presidential nominee equated the battle against global warming to the civil rights movement, the fight for women’s suffrage and the abolitionist movement during the American Civil War years.
His new film comes 11 years after the release of “An Inconvenient Truth,” which helped spark a wave of global warming activism throughout the world.
Despite a number of inaccurate predictions in the first film, Gore still insisted last year that he “underestimated” the negative impact of global warming.
