First daughter Ivanka Trump made a surprise visit at the Congressional Baseball Game Thursday night, while his father President Donald Trump gave a short video address before the start of the game, 100% Fed Up reports.
“It’s great to be out here to support everyone who came,” the presidential daughter told The Hill.
She was walking on field and meeting with players from both parties at the Nationals Park in Washington, DC just before the game start time.
Meanwhile, President Trump said in his message: “By playing tonight you are showing the world that we will not be intimidated by threats or acts of violence.”
The president was referring to the shooting incident the previous day that left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise wounded and in critical condition.
A gunman opened fire at lawmakers and aides during a baseball practice in preparation for Thursday’s game.
