A Huffington Post op-ed piece published on June 11 that called for the “execution” of President Donald Trump was pulled after Wednesday’s attack on Republican lawmakers, the Gateway Pundit reports.
In his article titled “Trump must be prosecuted — if convicted in a court of law — executed,” Huffington Post contributor Jason Fuller wrote that impeaching the president is not enough to “drain the swamp.”
Fuller argues that in order to fully restore the country’s moral compass, the President Trump must face the “ultimate punishment” or execution.
Aside from the president, the author also insists that the “ultimate punishment” should also be brought to others who are helping Trump with his agenda.
The list includes Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Paul Ryan and White House strategist Steve Bannon.
In light of the shooting in Alexandria, Va. that left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and three others with gunshot wounds, Huffington Post decided to remove the piece published on its website on Saturday.
