President Donald Trump’s approval among likely voters has reached 50 percent, according to a poll by Rasmussen released Friday, The Daily Caller reports.
The president’s approval numbers are on a rebound after they dropped to a low of 42 percent in April. They reached a high of 59 percent when he assumed office in January.
Friday’s poll showed that 31 percent of those polled strongly approve of Trump’s performance, while 42 percent say they strongly disapprove.
Within a couple of hours after the release of the results, President Trump celebrated with a tweet: “Great news! #MAGA”
The poll results come as Trump was set to deliver a speech in Miami about his administration’s new Cuba policy.
In last year’s presidential election, Rasmussen was the second most accurate polling firm. Friday’s report sampled 500 likely voters and had a 2.5 percent margin of error.
