Wikileaks founder Julian Assange posted an essay on Twitter Saturday saying why he believes the demise of the Democratic Party is likely because of the party’s “hysteria” about Russian collusion with the Trump campaign to help beat Hillary Clinton in last year’s presidential elections, the Gateway Pundit reports.
Assange said that the party is “consumed” by “hysteria about Russia,” which he thinks is a “political dead end.”
He explains that the Trump-Russia “narrative” is being used by “party’s elite” to retain their hold on power.
Assange said “Without the ‘We didn’t lose, Russia won’ narrative the party’s elite and those who exist under its patronage would be purged for being electorally incompetent and ideologically passe.”
He said that despite the party’s vast resources and lengthy investigations, Democratic senators such as Senator Feinstein “are forced to admit that there is no evidence of collusion” after seeing classified intelligence from the CIA.
Assange concluded that the Democratic Party’s establishment will be removed by its party’s base increasingly leaning towards the narrative promoted by Bernie Sanders.
