Tennessee state senators responds to California state government’s decision to issue a travel ban against their state by releasing a joint resolution urging their own state government to enact a similar ban against the Golden State, 100% Fed Up reports.
The resolution says that the governor of Tennessee and the Speakers of the Tennessee’s House and Senate should issue a travel ban against California.
They didn’t stop there. The senators also discouraged the other 48 states of the United States from following California’s example.
The resolution was a response to a move by California’s attorney general to add four states to a list of states that have laws that discriminate against LGBT people.
California has stopped state-funded travel to the states included in the list to show that it opposes those laws.
Tennessee, which is among the states included on that list, detailed in the joint resolution why it thinks such travel ban is a foolish idea to begin with.
