Actor Jeff Bridges, famous for his role in “The Big Lebowski” said he is hoping for the best for President Donald Trump and even said he is rooting for him.
Bridges made the remarks during an interview after a meeting of the Western Governors Association in Whitefish, Montana Wednesday focusing on child hunger.
The 67-year-old actor said: “I’m rooting for him to do well by our country… I’m rooting for him as a human being to do the cool thing.”
The critically acclaimed actor founded the End Hunger Network in 1983. His involvement in helping struggling families include becoming a national spokesman for No Kid Hungry in 2010.
He also endorsed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election.
But unlike other celebrities who supported Clinton, Bridges’ approach does not show any disdain toward the president.
Among the celebrities who have recently made violent jokes or allusions to killing President Trump include actor Johnny Depp and comedian Kathy Griffin.
100% Fed Up reports:
Well, this is a shocker! It takes a brave person to speak up in Hollywood because they could be blacklisted for being supportive of President Trump. We’re guessing Jeff Bridges doesn’t care what the Hollywood elite thinks because he’s been around for decades acting, singing and producing. We love what he had to say about Trump! Who knew he’s veteran too!
